A little Ray of Giving 2017

This Christmas, Ray White will continue its popular tradition of giving with the return of a little Ray of giving.

The inspiring Christmas campaign will see Ray White Taylors Lakes partner with The Smith Family to help disadvantaged children who may need a little extra light in their festive season, by contributing to their Toy and Book Appeal.

The Ray White team are calling on the local community to embrace the giving season and dig deep for children who need it most.

“This is the second year that we’ve run a little Ray of giving and we want 2017 to be our biggest year yet. When you see our Christmas tree go up, we urge everyone who is able to bring in a gift in for those families who are less fortunate,” said principal, Peter Travlos.

“All you need to do is drop off your Toy or Book gift for under the tree into our office reception – you don’t even need to wrap it,” said Peter. “Your generous gifts will help children acquire the skills and knowledge they need to build a better future.”

The Smith Family is seeking new toys, books and educational items for 0–12 year-olds.

  • Wrapped? Do NOT wrap gifts (so the gift to be screened and matched with the most appropriate child).
  • Size? Toys should be no bigger than a school backpack.
  • Batteries? Do include batteries if they are required to operate the toy please.
  • Second hand? Unfortunately we cannot accept second hand or handmade toys. For some children, these will be the only gifts they receive this Christmas so we want these to be brand new special gifts just for them.
  • Food? We are not able to accept any food items due to food handling and hygiene restrictions.

Ray White has run this initiative across Australia and New Zealand each December since 2012. Last year more than 300 offices across Australia and New Zealand helped raise 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families this Christmas.
